Business Analyst
Position: Location: Salary: Type:
Business Analyst £350 per day Permanent


The role of the business analyst will be to help design, implement and support business units with the implementation and acceptance of information management processes, controls and standards. Working closely with Information Owners and Stewards. The Business Analyst will also be required to provide help and guidance for the integration of Information Management Standards into business as usual activities, and where required, help build new processes. Key activities also include the design, build and implementation of measuring and monitoring procedures for benefits realisation and progress towards standards adherence.

  • Creation and management of documentation to capture information management (IM) standards, controls and processes
  • Produce operational procedures and guidelines for information management best practices
  • Managing changes to documentation, dashboards and process maps
  • Ensuring Business Data Glossary is complete, updated and relevant
  • Assist Team Leads and Managers with the adoption and embedding of standards and controls
  • Monitor progress of adoption and adherence of IM maturity across Teams and Service Lines
  • Create a reporting mechanism for Groups to report progress of IM standards adoption
  • Assist Workstream Lead to mobilise Governance Groups and initiate the Community of Practice
  • Undertake activities associated with the implementation of  Information Management Framework

Experience / Criteria

  • Carried out roles of a similar nature in the past 5 years
  • Worked on more than one information management projects
  • Capable of investigating and capturing information flows that are both complex and diverse
  • Understands risk and how to articulate risks from business impact perspectives
  • Has been involved with organisational change management and transformational initiatives
