Analyst Programmer

Analyst Programmer Hampshire £575.00 Permanent
To analyse system requirements and to design, test, code and modify moderately complex programmes or scripts to agreed company standards. Work independently on small, less complex projects.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Assisting on analysis by undertaking information gathering and analysis
  • Developing and maintaining solutions to support the business, as identified by the IT Business
  • Partner, Project Managers and Business Analysts
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems with applications systems (both internal and third party) in the production environment, Assisting team members in the fixing of faults as appropriate
  • Coding programs according to industry standards and specifications
  • Developing test plans and test data and conducting tests
  • Using development knowledge to analyse and help to create business environments
  • ‘Development level’ involvement throughout the full software development life cycle
  • Assisting in the maintenance of team documentation
  • Experience from a similar support or development role in supporting business critical systems in a medium/large organisation
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining solutions in at least one technical platform
Business Knowledge:
  • Display a good understanding of the business area relevant to where the design will be applied
  • Awareness of data integrity, data protection and data security threats
Functional and Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of the full software development life cycle and ability to apply it to simple projects
  • Excellent technical computing, analysis, design and development skills to a proven professional level
  • Communication and Personal Attributes
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise own workload within demanding schedules
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Produces good quality internal documentation
  • Problem Solving, Analysis and Reasoning
  • A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Able to take ownership of problems and requests as well as the ability to work in a pressurised
