SmartTek out front supporting U7 Fair Play Trophy winners at Hartley Wintney

At SmartTek we strive to make a difference in the regions where we work. Our Digital, I.T, Utility, EV and Energy Storage teams are dedicated market specialists covering the complete spectrum of IT & Smart skill sets and technologies for permanent and contract markets on a contingency, permanent and retained basis. That’s why the team at SmartTek really get to know and appreciate the regions that they operate within.

We’re proud to support local organisations, and that’s why we’ve been working with the junior section of Hartley Wintney Football Club (‘The Row’) in Hampshire.

Working with the youngest age group – the U7s team – we sponsored their kit for the season just finished and we’re excited to offer ongoing support to this thriving local team as they get ready to go again in September.

This season, we’re delighted that our Hartley Wintney U7s have won the North East Hants Youth League U7 Fair Play Trophy – which out of 60 teams playing at this age is a fantastic achievement for players and coaches alike.  The Fair Play award is based upon how the opposition rate players, coaches and spectators after each game and averaged over the season – and the team scored a flawless 10 for each category.

Speaking with Duncan Swan who is Chair of the Junior section at Hartley Wintney, he described working with the U7s as great fun and always rewarding; there’s so much that children can learn from team sports that will stand them in good stead as they develop.

Sponsor SmartTek falls under the Boss Professional Services brand, which runs multiple industry-specific businesses within its umbrella, including Boss Energy, Boss ERP, Boss Renewables and Boss Medical Science. We have management teams who work with businesses in regions and countries across the world, and that’s why it’s so important for us to continue to support grassroots teams and local communities.

We’re excited to continue our work with Hartley Wintney Junior FC – and at SmartTek we echo the club mantra of We Only Do Positive! Here’s to many more seasons of fair play and success.
